The objective was to accommodate a canteen space for an existing Industry at Dabaspet with a site area of 7 acres. The Challenge was to accommodate a 300-seater canteen along with parking space for 150 two wheelers in a triangular piece of land measuring 9000 sqft within the property. The building is elevated on stilts, touching the earth lightly. The rear side of the building has been staggered as per the site profile.

The ground floor has the required parking space with separate entry and exit points for better circulation. The canteen on the first floor has a dominant entry creating a puncture in the linear structure. The Interior space is well lit with the use of large structural glazing and sufficient ventilation from the staggered windows on the rear side.

The acute end of the site has a green space balancing the structure, with a pergola above and a band of green foliage.
