This is 10,000 square foot basketball court within the campus of R.V. College. The court is naturally lit through a stretch of clerestory windows on both of its longer walls. Seating space has been provided on stepped platforms on both sides with windows on the rear wall. The dark colour of these walls act as a neutral backdrop for the game. Acoustic panels on the wall prevent noise from the court from affecting the rest of the building. The zig-zag surface of the ceiling creates an impactful volume within. Service areas and changing rooms are pushed to the 4 corners of the court on the external side enabling clutter free circulation.
